Experlogix Adds SolidWorks 3D CAD Integration to its Configure Price Quote (CPQ) Solution

SolidWorks integration to help customers with engineer-to-order products

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - November 11, 2014 - Experlogix, Inc., the leading provider of Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions for Microsoft Dynamics announced today it has integrated to the Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp. 3D CAD solution.

Experlogix customers will be able to leverage SolidWorks 2D Drawings and 3D models within the SolidWorks CAD design, analysis and product data management software for improved visualization of products being configured in the quote and order process. SolidWorks Design Tables can be used to drive dynamic configurations through the Experlogix CPQ system, leveraging new or existing SolidWorks models. As a configuration is being defined in Experlogix, users will also be able to visually preview 3D parts or assemblies in real-time as the configure product is being defined. In addition, pricing and cost data as well as product data parameters are presented in real-time as the configure product elements are selected.

"The dynamic visual rendering of products is a significant benefit to our customers in engineer-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environments," says Scott Sandusky, Experlogix Director of Dynamics AX CPQ Business Development. "The ability to both verify the correct product is being configured visually on the screen as well as easily adding it to a customer proposal as the quote is being built is a huge competitive advantage for our customers. Manufacturers are looking to shorten their proposal and quoting lead times, while ensuring they are defining an accurate and manufacture-able product for the production and fulfillment side of the house."

Experlogix CPQ, combined with SolidWorks 3D CAD, allows complex manufacturers to rapidly and accurately quote new products based on engineering specifications. With Experlogix, users can build complex quotes and orders based on multiple options and item-specific business rules quickly and accurately. The solutions combine to form a powerful CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solution, increasing order volumes, improving accuracy and customer loyalty. Experlogix also combines with Microsoft Dynamics ERP and SolidWorks systems to form a dynamic engineering and product management system, automating multi-level BOMs, costing and routing information, calculating set-up and run times while dramatically cutting manufacturing lead times.
