Experlogix Announces Support for Microsoft’s New Microsoft Dynamics CRM Release 4.0

New combined release of Experlogix Configurator Release 5.0 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Release 4.0 to provide extended capabilities for multi-national firms

SANTA BARBARA, CA – January 8, 2008 – Experlogix, Inc., the leading developer of web-based sales and manufacturing configurator solutions for the Microsoft Dynamics platform, announced today that its Experlogix Configurator – Release 5.0 supports the latest Microsoft Dynamics CRM release, version 4.0.

Version 4.0 of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, formerly code-named “Titan,” provides greater deployment flexibility with the choice of on-premise and hosted implementations, as well as many new global business capabilities. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is offered under two product names: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for on-premise and partner-hosted deployments and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Live for Microsoft-hosted deployment. Designed with a single unified-code base for both on-premise and on-demand deployments, Microsoft Dynamics CRM enables customers to choose the right deployment model for their specific business and IT needs, with the flexibility to change deployment models over time if their needs or preferences change.

The Experlogix Configurator, which has supported integration with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM product since March of 2005, has continually kept pace with each new release of Dynamics CRM from Microsoft. In this latest release, the Experlogix Configurator will be able to take advantage of additional new features that specifically target large, multi-national and multi-entity organizations.

Some of the significant new benefits and capabilities of this new release include:

  • An advanced multi-tenant architecture that supports multiple customers per server – Ideally suited for partner hosted environments where multiple client databases are supported, each unique instance of Microsoft Dynamics CRM will be able to have its own Experlogix database running on a single server platform.
  • Extended global capabilities including user choice of more than 25 languages and pervasive support for multiple currencies – Although the Experlogix Configurator has traditionally supported multi-currency capabilities in previous releases, the Experlogix Configurator will now also be able to accept different currencies from the CRM database during the quoting and order management process. Similarly, with the addition of multi-language added to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM product, both the CRM and the Experlogix Configurator screens will now support multiple languages.
  • New business intelligence capabilities including cross-entity views and an end-user ad hoc reporting wizard – With the addition of cross-entity reporting included in the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM release, Experlogix Configurator users will benefit from increased access to additional CRM data elements for more detailed report generation between the two systems.
  • Advanced business process automation based on Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation Although workflow has been a central capability within earlier releases of the Experlogix Configurator, users integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM will now be able to extend workflow processing beyond the initial Experlogix quoting and order process to all aspects of order and contact management within the CRM system.

“It has been exciting to work alongside the development and evolution of Microsoft Dynamics CRM as an ISV Partner since the beginning,” said Christian Stepien, President of Experlogix. “We knew early on that Microsoft CRM would be a strong contender in the SMB (Small and Medium Business) market, but with this new release, Microsoft Dynamics CRM is also now a very viable option further up market for larger global organizations as well. Given that our customer base also includes many multi-national companies, these new enhancements will further strengthen our combined solution for our global customers.”
